Like a scene from Victorian times, the staggeringly tall, full-sized “Penny Farthing” bicycle, with rider attired in flamboyant late 19th century summer cycling gear* is a real attention-grabber.

Parades are a speciality, but whether: riding, walking, mounting and dismounting, or just posing nonchalantly, the scene never fails to turn heads.

A knowledgeable and experienced rider, The Laird McGillicuddy is also happy to discourse, in character, on the history of cycling, and to teach others how to ride this amazing machine from the 1880’s.

*In cooler weather, a tweedy “Gentleman Explorer” costume is worn instead. (Novelty themed costumes are also possible.)
